Western Dakota Tech Precision Machining Technology Students to Benefit from State Grant
South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard announced Future Fund awards, on Sept. 14, of almost $865,000 for the state's four technical schools to fund equipment needs in Build Dakota-eligible programs. Western Dakota Tech is receiving $68,000 of the grant money to upgrade and enhance its Precision Machining Technology program.

Western Dakota Tech is pleased to announce it ranks as one of the nation’s Best Community Colleges. In WalletHub’s 2017 Best & Worst Community Colleges report, released Aug. 21, Western Dakota Tech placed No. 49 out of 728 community colleges.
South Dakota, as a whole, rated the No. 1 statefor the Best Community College System in the United States. Alaska, Washington, Florida and Wisconsin finished out the top five states.
