WDTC Honors 34 Nursing Students During Special Pinning Ceremony on Dec. 16

Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) is helping fill the great need for more nurses. In honor of their WDTC Registered Nursing (RN) and Practical Nursing Fall Semester 2022 program completion, 34 students received pins during a special ceremony at the college on Friday, Dec. 16.

Nine students were recognized for having completed the Registered Nursing program. An additional 25 Practical Nursing program students were honored for completing their program. Receiving pins is a traditional symbolic welcoming of nursing graduates into the nursing field.

Four students received surprise awards during the ceremony.

Nurse Pinning Ceremony Moved to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, Start

Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) is changing the start time for the RN and Practical Nurse Pinning Ceremony tomorrow, Dec. 16, to a 3 p.m. start. We are hopeful the weather improves and the change in time will allow more students, guests, and employees to attend this special event.

The Pinning Ceremony will take place in the WDTC Event Center.

RC Campus Open & Classes Thursday; Whitewood Campus to Remain Closed

The Western Dakota Technical College Rapid City Campus will be open and there will be classes Thurs., Dec. 15. For Students with travel concerns, please contact faculty.

The Whitewood Campus will remain closed Thursday, Dec. 15.

Rapid City & Whitewood Campuses to Remain Closed Wed., Dec. 14

WDTC campuses in Rapid City & Whitewood will continue to be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 14, due to inclement weather. The campuses are closed for all scheduled classes, events, and activities.

Western Dakota Technical College campuses in Rapid City and Whitewood will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 13, due to inclement weather. The campuses will be closed for all scheduled classes, events, and activities.
