New students accepted for the upcoming Summer or Fall Semester were honored during Western Dakota Tech's (WDT) first College Signing Day, Thursday, Feb. 21. Ann Bolman, Ed.D., WDT President, welcomed the students to the college and congratulated them for choosing to pursue an education in much needed career fields.

Thirty-one high school students recently demonstrated their welding skills during the Western Dakota Tech Welding Program's First Welding Competition.

High school students interested in exploring rapidly advancing and diverse careers in Business and Technology, should plan to attend Western Dakota Tech's next career exploration camp.

Western Dakota Tech congratulates the 220 students named to the Fall 2018 Dean's List. To qualify, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. 

The Dean's List begins with South Dakota students followed by additional states.

If you have an interest in learning the basics of welding, you are in luck! Western Dakota Tech is offering a six-week course on campus Thursdays, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Jan. 24 through Feb. 28. (Total of six classes.)

Students will learn shop/welding safety, the fundamentals of wire feed welding and TIG welding, welding positions, and set up/adjustments of equipment. Participants will complete a project they can keep.
