Western Dakota Tech Ranks as One of Nation's Best Community Colleges

Western Dakota Tech is pleased to announce it ranks as one of the nation’s Best Community Colleges. In WalletHub’s 2017 Best & Worst Community Colleges report, released Aug. 21, Western Dakota Tech placed No. 49 out of 728 community colleges.

South Dakota, as a whole, rated the No. 1 state for the Best Community College System in the United States. Alaska, Washington, Florida and Wisconsin finished out the top five states.

Western Dakota Tech Hosting Inaugural S.D. Board of Technical Education Meeting July 17-18

History will be made at Western Dakota Tech when the college hosts the first official South Dakota Board of Technical Education Meeting July 17-18.

A discussion of technical education priorities and issues will take place with South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard at 3 p.m., in the Event Center, Monday, July 17. 

On Tuesday, July 18, the official Technical Education Board meeting will begin at 8 a.m., with a call to order, in the Event Center. The Board will tour Western Dakota Tech at about 1:30 p.m.
