The South Dakota Board of Technical Education has approved a proposal from Western Dakota Tech, Lake Area Technical Institute, and Mitchell Technical Institute to create two-year Registered Nursing programs. Western Dakota Tech Enrollment Increases Fall Semester 2017

As area colleges experienced a dip in enrollment this fall, Western Dakota Tech saw an increase of 1.4 percent. Western Dakota Tech's fall enrollment is 1,088 students.

Western Dakota Tech Precision Machining Technology Students to Benefit from State Grant

South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard announced Future Fund awards, on Sept. 14, of almost $865,000 for the state's four technical schools to fund equipment needs in Build Dakota-eligible programs. Western Dakota Tech is receiving $68,000 of the grant money to upgrade and enhance its Precision Machining Technology program.
