Western Dakota Tech Hosting Career Fair Feb. 7

Western Dakota Tech is hosting a Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Western Dakota Tech Event Center, Wednesday, Feb. 7. 

Career fairs offer students and employers the space to meet and discuss potential job opportunities. About 40 employers are registered to participate in the Career Fair, including the Rapid City Police Department, Regional Health, Black Hills Surgical Hospital, RFA Engineering, Peabody Energy, and many more.

High School Students - Register Now to Learn about Business Careers

High school students will have the opportunity to "feed the sharks" during Western Dakota Tech's Future Business Professionals Day career exploration camp, Tuesday, Feb. 27. The one-day camp will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Western Dakota Tech campus, 800 Mickelson Dr.

The camp is free and open to all high school students. Students will explore Western Dakota Tech's Business-related programs such as Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business & Technology, Entrepreneurship, Office Professional, Social Media Marketing, Library Science, and additional career paths.

Hanks Selected National Education Award Finalist

Western Dakota Tech has known its educators are some of the best in country and is honored to announce one is garnering national recognition.

In a surprise celebration on Jan. 24, it was announced Donna Hanks, Business and Technology Instructor and Team Leader, is a finalist for the American Technical Education Association (ATEA) Outstanding Technical Teacher Award. Hanks was nominated for the award by Western Dakota Tech in November 2017.
