Western Dakota Technical College is proud to participate in SD UpSkill. UpSkill supports short-term credentials in programs leading to occupations that have been impacted by COVID-19. As part of this state program for Fall Semester 2021, Western Dakota Tech is offering three certificate programs in high-demand fields - EMT/Pre-Paramedic, Phlebotomy, and Plumbing. A semi-serious battle, Western Dakota Tech versus truck driver shortage

The United States is currently seeing a nationwide truck driver shortage. Western Dakota Tech offers a four to six-week program that teaches students what it takes to be a truck driver.

Western Dakota Tech (WDT) helps students grow, develop skills, and prepares them to enter the professional world work-ready. Within six months of graduation, 99 percent of WDT graduates are employed, continuing their education, or serving in the military!
