Funeral services for Dr. Ann Bolman, WDTC President, will take place in the college Event Center, at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 5. Wesern Dakota Technical College is located at 800 Mickelson Dr., Rapid City, S.D.

Goldsmith Appointed Acting President of Western Dakota Technical College

The Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) Board of Trustees has appointed Christine Goldsmith as Acting President following the unexpected passing of President, Dr. Ann Bolman on Sept. 24.

Goldsmith has served as the Vice President for Finance and Operations at WDTC since 2020. In her new role, she will help lead the college as it navigates this transition.

Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) is now an accredited American Welding Society( AWS) Test Facility. This accreditation allows WDTC to administer qualification testing to comply with the AWS Certified Welder Program.

Law Enforcement Officers Standards & Training Commission Re-establishes Articulation Agreement with Western Dakota Technical College

News Release issued by the Office of the S.D. Attorney General Marty Jackley  

PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota’s Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Training Commission voted unanimously Wednesday to re-establish a reciprocity articulation agreement with Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) of Rapid City. The articulation agreement allows eligible students who successfully complete WDTC’s Law Enforcement Technology program to gain certification as a South Dakota law enforcement officer without needing to attend the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation’s (DCI) 520-hour basic law enforcement certification course.
