Western Dakota Technical College is hosting several celebrations this week to honor its more than 370 graduates. Events include the college's 54th Commencement Ceremony, a Native American Honoring Ceremony, a Law Enforcement Pinning Ceremony, and a Nurse Pinning Ceremony.

This year's Commencement Address will be provided by U.S. Rep. Dusty Johnson, (R-SD).

Welding & Fabrication Instructor Earns SkillsUSA S.D. Hall of Champions Award

Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) students demonstrated exceptional career skills at the recent SkillsUSA South Dakota Leadership and Skills Conference earning many awards, including gold medals in 14 events!

In addition, WDTC Welding and Fabrication Instructor Troy Barry was honored for his contributions to SkillsUSA S.D. receiving the SkillsUSA S.D. Hall of Champions Award.

SkillsUSA South Dakota Leadership & Skills Conference at WDTC April 7-8

Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) is honored to host a total of about 300 participants, instructors, and supporters for the 2022 SkillsUSA South Dakota Leadership & Skills Conference on April 7-8. The event kicks off at 2 p.m. with an Opening Ceremony in the WDTC Event Center, Thursday, April 7.

During this event, career and technical education students, from high schools and colleges across South Dakota, will prove they are ready for careers in manufacturing, transportation, construction, hospitality, and human services.

Eight Recent WDTC Graduates Help Fill Great Need for Professional Truck Drivers

Eight students recently graduated from Western Dakota Technical (WDT) College's Professional Truck Driving Program. These graduates will help fill the high and projected increasing need for truck drivers.
