Deadline to Apply for $5,000 Scholarships is May 10

A 2018 visit to South Dakota as part of the New Day in Tech Ed event inspired Mike Rowe and the mikeroweWORKS Foundation to offer a new scholarship opportunity to South Dakota students pursuing a technical school education. Inspired by Build Dakota Scholarships, the mikeroweWORKS Foundation found an opportunity to partner with them to offer scholarships for second-year tech students who may also be in need of financial assistance.

If you are a high school student considering a career in computers, there is a great upcoming opportunity to find out what working in the industry is like and what Western Dakota Tech’s program is all about. Register today to attend Western Dakota’s Tech’s FREE Computer Science Camp, Thursday, March 21. The camp will provide several learning activities related to the industry.

If you face barriers that keep you from achieving your higher education goals you will want to register to attend a special College Visit Night at Western Dakota Tech on Tuesday, March 19. This event will start at 5:30 p.m.and go to 7 p.m.; greeters will welcome attendees inside the main entrance.

Western Dakota Tech is hosting a FREE Financial Aid Assistance Event, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 21. Attendees will be greeted in the college Main Entrance.
