Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) is now an accredited American Welding Society( AWS) Test Facility. This accreditation allows WDTC to administer qualification testing to comply with the AWS Certified Welder Program. To become an AWS Certified Welder, an AWS ATF must administer the qualification tests.
To become an AWS ATF, the facility must create and comply with a quality assurance program, which meets the high standards of quality as set forth by the AWS. This includes quality controls for base metals and consumables, welding and test equipment, personnel, welding procedures, and testing processes.
All full-time students enrolled in the WDTC Welding and Fabrication program take welder qualification tests and can earn AWS Welder Certifications as a part of the curriculum. WDTC is also offering welder qualification testing to outside applicants.
Schedule testing at wdt.edu/WeldingTesting.
