Awesome news! Western Dakota Tech students from Computer Science Club finished in second place during the North Central Regional Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition held at Dakota State University.
It was a two-day event where the students had to keep a network up and running while defending it from the Red Team, a group of professional network penetration testers.
The students went into the network virtually blind. They have no idea what they were getting until the competition. Once they were into the competition, they had a limited amount of time to assess and secure the system.
Congratulations to WDT Computer Science students. They did a great job!
