Register for Visit Night Set for Tues., July 16

Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) invites the community to attend College Visit Night, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tues., July 16. The event is an excellent opportunity for high school students, recent graduates, and those seeking to upgrade career skills or make career changes, to explore the array of educational possibilities at WDTC.

Register for FREE to attend Visit Night at wdt.edu/visit. Completing registration makes it possible for us to customize your visit to your interests.

At College Visit Night, information will be provided about the nearly 40 diverse programs WDTC has to offer. Attendees will also have the chance to engage with faculty members, Admissions specialists, Financial Aid advisors, and Scholarship/Foundation representatives. Campus tours will provide a firsthand look at WDTC's state-of-the-art learning labs.

At Western Dakota Technical College, it is possible to earn a certificate, diploma or associate degree in two years or less and positions graduates to increase their earning potential compared to those with only a high school diploma or GED. Furthermore, WDTC specializes in preparing students for Hot Careers, as identified by the South Dakota Department of Labor—professions marked by numerous openings and high salaries within the state. 

Scholarships and Financial Aid opportunities are accessible to support students in their educational endeavors. Off-campus student housing is also available.

ABOUT WESTERN DAKOTA TECHNICAL COLLEGE

Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) was established in 1968 and is the only technical college serving the western South Dakota region. 

WDTC offers nearly 40 programs in a variety of fields, including Business and Computers, Construction and Manufacturing, Energy and Environmental Technologies, Health Sciences, Legal and Public Services, and Transportation Technologies. 

Ninety-nine percent of Western Dakota Technical College's most recent graduates are working, continuing their education, or are enlisted in the military per the WDTC 2023 Placement Report. There were 353 respondents out of 399 graduates surveyed. [Placement information is derived from graduate surveys, faculty-collected data, placement surveys started six months after graduation, and the South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation. Overall placement rate is figured by: (responding graduates employed, continuing education, or in military service)/(responding graduates who are seeking employment). The number of program graduates are unduplicated by CIP code.]
