The Career Expo allows high school students to experience a fun, realistic glimpse into a variety of fields, said Wanda Roe, Western Dakota Tech Admissions and Event Specialist.
"We're committed to helping students realize their potential," Roe said. "Finding a career that fits your personality and goals is the first step toward a successful career."
The Expo focuses on interactive demonstrations to ensure attendees have a personal, hands-on experience with each career field.
"Every booth at the Expo will have an activity for attendees to try," Roe said. "This is the best way to get a feel for a career. It also reflects our hands-on approach to education at Western Dakota Tech."
Examples of some activities Expo participants can participate in include: welding, performing simple blood typing, looking at blood cells and bacteria under a microscope, simulating a blood draw out of a synthetic arm, experiencing a cardiac arrest virtual reality simulation, making and binding a book/journal, etc.
