Whether you are a high school junior or senior who knows what you want to do following graduation, or you are not quite sure, plan to attend the Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) Career Expo, Wednesday, Oct. 11. The FREE event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon, in the Rushmore 5 room, in The Monument.
The Monument is located at 444 N. Mt. Rushmore Rd., in Rapid City.
Those attending the WDTC Expo will have the opportunity to explore many of WDTC’s nearly 40 college programs and meet faculty and current students. They will also be able to visit with employers about career options. Participants can register for a chance to win a $150 Visa gift card!
The Career Expo allows high school students to experience a fun, realistic glimpse into a variety of fields, said Wanda Roe, Admissions Specialist.
"We're committed to helping students realize their potential," Roe said. "Finding a career that fits your personality and goals is the first step toward a successful career.
The Expo focuses on interactive demonstrations to ensure attendees gain an understanding of each career field,” Roe said.
Examples of some planned Expo activities include CPR training, virtual welding, and Architectural and Engineering Technology virtual reality simulations.
No RSVP is necessary to attend this event.
